The Commons is the hub of student life. Situated in the middle of campus, it is the place to go before, between and after classes. Hosting major social, cultural and recreational activities, The Commons fosters community among students, faculty, and staff.

  • Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: Closed
  • Sunday: Closed
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. – Midnight
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. – Midnight
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 11/27: 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • 11/28 – 11/30: Closed
  • 12/1: Noon – 9 p.m.
  • 12/11 – 12/13: 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 12/14: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 12/15: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 12/16 & 12/17: 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 12/18 & 12/19: 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • 12/20: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Commons and UMBC Campus will be closed on:

  • September 2, 2024 for Labor Day
  • November 28 – 30 for Fall Break
  • December 23, 2024 – January 1, 2025 for Winter Break
